Announcing our new Family Leave Policy
We are excited to announce our new Family Leave Policy, which will support our world-class employees to care for their young families.
At Radicle, we’re focused on providing amazing benefits to all employees. As a startup with less than 20 employees, we offer: unlimited PTO, every-other-Friday off, 100% remote work, 401(k) matching, and a host of other benefits. We have recently added a progressive Family Leave Policy to the long list of benefits, something that just 15% of startups/companies with 99 or fewer employees offer.
Our policy provides for 12 weeks paid time off for primary caregivers and 4 weeks paid time off for secondary caregivers, which can be taken flexibly at the time that best fits the parent’s schedule. Family Leave is available to any employee who has been with the company for 3 months. Paid time off benefits are also granted to those who suffer the unfortunate event of a stillbirth or miscarriage and extended to parents that wish to adopt.
On top of that, our unlimited paid vacation policy makes it easy for expecting or new parents to take time off for doctor’s visits, fertility treatments, or anything else that supports the health of themselves and their families. Radicle CEO Stu Willson explains, “Radicle's Family Leave Policy reflects our commitment to create an inclusive work environment. By introducing the Family Leave Policy, we are looking to remove some of the barriers that prevent women and other primary and secondary caregivers from achieving their career potential. We want to attract and retain the best and brightest to help realize our mission while enabling their individual professional ambitions.” Btw, that's Stu's daughter Allegra when she was 8 months old, above.
We were fortunate to help shape our forward-thinking Family Leave Policy with the help of Work180. “I am very proud that Radicle has been endorsed by Work180 as a Great Place to Work for Women” says GM of People and Product Strategy McLain Faett, a standard that less than 50% of companies meet. “We are excited to work with this great organization, which will support us in reaching one of our DEI goals of hiring more amazing women into senior roles on the team and continue to make Radicle a place where women can thrive at work.”
Gemma Lloyd, co-CEO of Work180 says, "I'm proud to be partnering with Radicle and accrediting them as an Endorsed Employer for All Women. It's not common practice for a start-up with less than 20 people to implement leading employee benefits, and Radicle has done just that! I'm so impressed by their genuine commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion from the beginning."
Our Family Leave Policy continues to make Radicle an attractive place to work not only for women, but all parents. We are excited by all of the progress we’ve made so far and even more excited for what’s to come next.
