I am very excited to be joining Radicle as a Lead Analyst.  My role will entail researching startup companies and exploring new markets across all types of industries and then presenting our data-driven insights in those areas to our customers.  Prior to joining Radicle, for the past ~2 years I was an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company in New York City.  Bain was an invaluable place to begin my career, develop new skills, and through my casework, learn how to effectively instill lasting change in large organizations.  While I am thankful for my time at Bain and the opportunity to work with leading Fortune 500 companies, I am eager to dive deeper and expand my knowledge base of the world of startups with Radicle, inching me closer to my ultimate goal of one day starting my own company.

Already, I’ve been surprised to observe the vast difference in speed at which startups (including Radicle) operate, compared to corporations.  In my first week on the job, I was asked to evaluate and improve on the feedback questions we ask all of our customers at the conclusion of each of our engagements.  After presenting a few ideas of questions we could add to the post-project survey, I expected to hear something along the lines of “we’ll look into that” and if I was lucky, maybe get an update back in a couple of weeks.  Instead, I was met with immediate encouragement and was empowered to immediately implement the changes I put forth.

Not only do I look forward to accelerating my education on what it takes to start one’s own company through my casework at Radicle, preparing reports on startups and talking with founders, but also by working myself in a startup environment.  I am eager to be a team-player and contribute to other business functions such as sales & marketing, recruiting, and operations, doing whatever it takes to help the firm grow, while simultaneously strengthening my skill set in new areas.
